The Anson Engine Museum in Poynton has achieved a \"Double First\" with their Diesel Story Exhibition this summer. The Exhibition is to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Rudolf Diesel, the inventor of the diesel engine.

Textiles will be at the forefront of celebrations in 2009 with plans for a season of events dedicated to the industry across East Cheshire, the Peak District and North Staffordshire.

The Cheshire Peaks and Plains website has been updated and relaunched to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Cheshire Peaks and Plains Tourism Association.
