Within the Heritage Centre is The Silk Museum. This tells the story of the development of the silk industry in the town through an award winning audio visual programme. Silk Costumes and textiles illustrate the important of silk to fashion and its use for other special occasions. Open Monday to Saturday 11:00 to 5:00 and Sunday, Bank Holiday Monday 1:00 to 5:00
