Higher Cliff Farm is a small traditional Cheshire farm, formally part of the Lyme Park Estate, with outstanding views of the Cheshire Peaks. The farm is owned and managed by Alison and Ian Wild. We decided to change our careers a couple of years ago, and try to make our living breeding rare breed pigs and supplying the finest rare breed pork.

We spent a long time researching the subject, recognising that there is a growing awareness of the quality of meat produced the traditional way, using traditional breeds of pig.We started by buying the best quality pigs and from these we have bred our own registered stock to guarantee quality and traceability.

All our meat is pure breed, accompanied by a genuine British Pig Association meat certificate. All our pigs are free range and are fed on a specially formulated, non-gm, traditional feed.

The breeds we have chosen are the Berkshire and the Middle White pig, which are both known for producing exceptional pork.

The pigs are taken to a local family run Abattoir to avoid any unnecessary stress and are processed with dignity. Butchery is also undertaken by Master Butchers at the same premises to a very high standard. The fresh meat comes in a very manageable standard cut. Individual cut requirements can also be accommodated by arrangement. Meat is either delivered by Ian, if local or by overnight courier and charged accordingly. Obviously there is an option to pick up from the farm if required.

We are offering whole and half boxed pigs to our customers. We now have a growing number of repeat customers, who fully appreciate the meat.

At the moment we are supplying restaurants with specific cuts and making finest recipe sausages and other specialist pork products on request. We are open to discussing new customer's requirements and as demand is increasing we can be more flexible. The average weight of a whole pig is 50kg
