Capesthorne Hall

Capesthorne, set in 100 acres of picturesque Cheshire parkland, has been touuched by nearly 1000 years of English histroy. The 18th Century Jacobean-style Hall contains treasured collections of fine art, antiques, children's toys and Americana. Throughout the year Capesthorne hosts public events from craft fairs to classic car rallies. Facilities can also be hired for corporate occasions, business meetings and family celebrations, including civil wedding ceremonies. Capesthorne Hall is open to the public on Sunday, Monday and all Bank Holidays, from April to October inclusively. The Gardens and Chapel are open from 12 noon to 5 pm. The Hall is open at 1.30 pm until 4 pm with last admission at 3.30 pm. Friday 28th November evening from 6pm - 8.30pm Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November afternoons from 1.30pm - 5.00pm (crafts and refreshments open from 12.00 noon An opportunity to visit the hall during the normally closed Christmas period. A visit allows a glimpse through the doors of a family-owned stately home decorated for Christmas. During your walk around the house you will be entertained by local musicians, bell ringers, and school choirs, and a special visit from Santa. After pausing to listen to the music the tour takes you upstairs through the house then down into the basement where there is an opportunity to visit craft stalls. There are more crafts to be seen outside and across the courtyard in another part of the house. Mulled wine and mince pies are on sale in the refreshment marquee. To avoid queuing at gate apply for tickets in advance to Capesthorne Hall, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 9JY, indicating the which day you require them for. Cheques made payable to Capesthorne H & G.
