Garden centres

PansiesA spectacular addition to the area is the Royal Horticulture Society's Flower Show at Tatton Park in July. One in every eight visits in the country is to gardens in Cheshire, and a large number of these are in and around Macclesfield.

The rich and fertile Cheshire plain is home to a multitude of plant nurseries, garden centres, private gardens offering summer visits for good causes, fundraising and a specialised rose-grower. Town parks and other sites feature traditional bedding schemes. Crocuses and daffodils welcome early spring visitors and arboretums put on a stunning show in autumn.

All-year-round opportunities for garden lovers, together with courses and workshops, are highlighted in the comprehensive leaflets "Glorious Garden Breaks" and "Cheshire - England's Garden Gateway".

Fryer's Rose Nursery

Fryer's Rose Nursery

Breathtaking! That's how most visitors describe the sight of Fryers Rose Fields in full bloom. The scent and colour are a joy as is the setting in Cheshire's verdant countryside. Only minutes from the M6 and M56, the world famous Rose Breeder grows 80,000 bushes in the fields surrounding the Garden Centre.
